Ministers of Interior and Education Discuss Security Plans for High School Exams

Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Faraya, and Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafza, discussed security measures and arrangements to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) for this year during their meeting today at the Ministry of Interior.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Khaled Abu Hammour, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh, the Director of Operations and Control at the Public Security Directorate, and the governors via video conference.

Al-Faraya emphasized the readiness of the Ministry of Interior and the Public Security Directorate to support the educational process, maintain the integrity of the high school exams, and provide security in all exam halls and marking centers. He also commended the Ministry of Education's efforts to maintain the high standards and credibility of the high school exams.

He also emphasized the need to learn from past years to overcome any obstacles or problems encountered in previous exams, as well as the importance of preparing for any unforeseen developments that may arise during the exams.

In this context, the Minister commended the role of the Ministry of Interior and the security services in ensuring the success of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination, considering them essential partners in implementing the Ministry's related plans. He outlined the Ministry's plans to hold the exams this year in two phases: one for twelfth-grade students and another for eleventh-grade students.

For his part, the Director of Operations and Control at the Public Security Directorate noted the full coordination between the Directorate, the administrative governors, and the Ministry of Education in providing the necessary conditions to maintain the security and safety of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination, in accordance with joint security plans. He also confirmed the existence of a civil defense plan for first aid and rescue operations in any emergency situation
