Interior Minister Visits Al-Omari Border Crossing and Azraq District Directorate
Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya visited the Al-Omari border crossing on Thursday to review preparations for the current Hajj season and the services provided to travelers during the summer period.
Al-Faraya inspected the readiness of the relevant authorities to receive pilgrims performing Hajj, both Jordanian citizens and visitors, emphasizing the need to facilitate services for travelers and ensure the efficient and effective transport of goods.
He discussed with officials the necessary procedures that could be expedited to improve the work environment, streamline operations, and ensure traveler comfort. He also reviewed the progress made in various facilities at the crossing, based on the outcomes of previous visits.
In a related visit, Minister Al-Faraya met with the district director and the head of the newly formed Azraq Municipal Committee. He stressed the importance of strictly enforcing the law to address any encroachments on state lands and taking appropriate action against unlicensed establishments or those violating public health and safety regulations.
