Al-Faraya met with the Egyptian Minister of Interior, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, and discussed with him security cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, especially in the field of exchanging experiences and building capabilities..

Al-Faraiah highlighted the role played by the security authorities in Jordan in the field of combating drug smuggling and changing the mechanisms for dealing with the innovative methods adopted by drug smugglers, calling on the Egyptian side to learn about the Jordanian experience in this field.

Al-Faraiah also reviewed the outcomes of the Interior Ministers’ meeting held in Amman on the issue of drugs, and informed his Egyptian counterpart of the importance of Egypt’s participation in the joint communication cell between Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon in order to achieve security and societal peace for all countries of the region.

For his part, the Egyptian Minister welcomed Egypt's accession to the joint communication cell through future coordination with the Jordanian side to discuss the necessary arrangements in this regard, praising the level of cooperation between the security services in the field of drug control and the exchange of experiences and visits between the two sides.
