The functions and duties of the Directorate:

Following up the security issues in coordination with the administrative units and security parties.

Licensing weapons, private protection and security companies, and training companies.

Licensing professions’ activities, and issuing the Ministry’s approval to professions that fall under the Ministry of Interior domain.

Following up tribal issues, the state’s properties issues, and the state’s lands adjacent to the traditional tribal locations.

Following up pass-ways and border crossing points.

Following up the societies (associations) that fall under the Ministry of Interior domain.

Following up the activities of the agencies and the civil society organizations.

Following up public activities, gathering and marches, and the political and parliamentary affairs.

Conducting the required studies about the work of the Directorate, and presenting suggestions related to the Directorate work and recommendations that lead to developing its performance.

Public relations and public service.

Any additional functions related to the work of the Directorate.
