Interior Minister SalamaHammad met with Dutch Ambassador to Amman Barbara Joziasseon Monday to discuss ways of boosting bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic, political, security and police fields.
The Minister of Interior said that the relations between the two countries are based on a solid base of cooperation and coordination in several fields, thanks to the support they receive from the leaderships of the two friendly countries.He pointed out that His Majesty King Abdullah's recent visit to the Netherlands has contributed greatly to pushing forward and strengthening these relations in a way that achieves their common interests.The Minister highlighted the challenges facing the Kingdom, especially in the economic aspect, in light of its limited resources, scarcity of its potential and exposure to many waves of asylum and from several nationalities. This led to the exhaustion of its vital sectors, noting the need to intensify efforts to support Jordan and support it to bear the burden of asylum.
For her part, the Dutch Ambassador praised the level of stability and security prevailing in the Kingdom despite the unrest in some countries in the region.
She stressed the continuation of her country's partnership with Jordan in many areas of joint cooperation and the need to strengthen it to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
